AQUARAMA — olfactory installations (thermal paper, scented beeswax, perfume).
AQUARAMA project, funded by Centrul De Proiecte Timisoara — ‘Energie! Burse de Creatie’ / exhibition at Minitremu Unlearning Center TM (July – Nov 2024)
During the summer, my research along the Bega River was documented through experimental photography.
For the exhibition, I decided to create a limited series of zines featuring photos printed on thermal paper (800 mm long pages).
These publications are bound with naturally scented wax and come in various sizes and proportions, reminiscent of framed landscapes.
THE SCENT combines elements of freshly cut grass, herbaceous-green, mint, floral notes, an astringent edge, magnolia leaves and flowers, ozone. As part of the research and creative process, I developed a natural fragrance designed to capture the essence of the botanical scents identified along the riverbanks, ranging from wild to ornamental plants.
